Today, we are just shooting the shots of our little bird. The real shoot starts tomorrow! I’m very excited and will keep you posted on how it went and will also post pictures of the shoot!
I came back from Paris not so long ago where we advanced well in the pre-production phase. I met my DP, Nicolas Chalons who is very talented and I’m very excited to work with him. I also have 2 great AD’s on board: Andrew Desmond and Corentin Quiniou, who have directed several short films and music videos (also with Ross Prod).
We also have our actors for the Spring section of the film, so excited! I am honored to have Jacqueline Noëlle playing the role of Evelyne and Francis Ressort playing the role of Iulian.
I’ll be back in Paris early May to start rehearsals and meet finalize pre-production! Stay tuned 🙂
The month of february flew by! I worked on a great movie: Petunia, directed by Ash Christian starring Thora Birch, Christine Lahti, Michael Urie, Eddie Kaye Thomas, David Rasche, Jimmy Heck and Tobias Segal. It was an amazing experience and I met great people.
But now I’m back in business for my own project: Au Fil du Banc. We are currently doing a final re-write and entering a preliminary casting phase. We are also waiting to hear back from the Mairie de Paris to see if we get financing from them. Keeping fingers crossed!
I had a wonderful time in Paris, but I have to say it feels good being back… It is cold here, but SUNNY!
And, I have just landed a job as scripty on a low budget indie movie: Petunia. Am liking 2011 so far!!!
I am kicking off the new year in Paris where we are slowly entering pre-production for our short Au Fil du Banc. Wehave yet to secure financing, but we’re still going to shoot some winter shots this Sunday… got to get those bare winter trees in the can!
Along with its monthly competitions, the AIFF also holds an annual one and l’Escalier won Best First Time Director! What a nice way to end the year. Am totally motivated for 2011!
I am happy to announce that we won 3 awards at AIFF: Best First Time Director, Best Film on a Micro Budget and Best Director of a film on a Micro Budget! Thanks to the whole crew and of course, the fabulous talent 🙂
I must say it was to read that first thing this morning – it definitely motivates me to keep submitting to festivals and now I can’t wait to get started our next project! Woohoo!
L’Escalier has been accepted at the American International Film Festival! It’s a monthly festival, so we have to wait until the end of November for the results…They wrote me a nice email saying they loved the music and the photography – always nice to hear 🙂
